Dental Prosthetics
The term „prosthetics“ describes a wide and diverse field in dentistry. It includes single tooth restorations (crowns on teeth or dental implants; partial crowns) and bridges as well as removable and so called combined prosthetics. We find it very important to explain all the possible alternatives to include the patient’s thoughts and wishes in order to find the best individual treatment option. We offer all different types of prosthetics in our practice at the Mexikoplatz. We can manufacture ceramic crowns and bridges in our own practice by using CAD/CAM technology. Any questions about prosthetics and computer technologies can be explained in your individual appointment.
Dental Crowns And Dental Bridges with CAD/CAM-Technology
The CAD/CAM technology describes computer aided proceedings that helps us to manufacture ceramic inlays, partial crowns, crowns and bridges in our own practice. With our intraoral camera teeth are scanned which saves the patient from taking conventional casts. The scan is processed into a 3D model on the computer. The prosthetics can now be designed on the computer (CAD) and then be milled by a specialized ceramic mill (CAM). These techniques enable us to manufacture and incorporate prosthetics in our practice in the shortest amount of time.
